I recently installed Thesis 1.6 by Chris Pearson. It is the epitome of a useful blogging theme. The theme is easily customizable, fast, clean, simple, easily integrable with popular plugins, it also provides a large support network, extremely effective search engine optimization, and a smart development team which I am confident in to continue updating and creating a new standard in blogging platforms.

The upgrade process was not all painless. After attempting to simply upgrade to the Thesis theme I had some minor errors in the Thesis Options page, and some security concerns. There are many blogs that I read, but only a few are actually written by people that I have interacted with, those blogs include: Only Here for the Food, a wonderful Edmonton food blog, my favorite political blog daveberta, all things technology in Edmonton with MasterMaq, life blogs like LFar Blog and Under Cover Irony, University of Alberta Students’ Union VP Academic Leah Trueblood’s Adventure, and funny things aggregator majiksznak.
Blogging is fun, interesting, and as it turns out, a great way to network with like minded individuals.

After struggling with the hassles of Blogger’s posting form, which is notably the worst part of the service, I opted for a desktop client. The easiest of which to install and run is
ScribeFire. This is my first post in ScribeFire, and it is working very well.
It can even upload images using Blogger’s API!

Having just realized that flickr.com is much easier on its developers, I wonder why I have been using picasaweb for the last few years (by using I mean seldom looking at old photos).
Check out my newest endeavor of a 3D Photo Album of Qelsey and I.
