Two weeks ago I was playing around in the iPhone App store and thought to myself how cool it would be if I had my own iPhone App.
I wanted something that would connect my blog, my twitter, and my Youtube. I was also hoping for some flickr integration, but I am sure that is on it’s way.
Needless to say, working with MotherApp BlogEngine, I was able to launch a Kory Mathewson iPhone App, available for download as of January 21 2010.
I am very impressed with the look and feel of the application, and it seamlessly integrates several of my online profiles, not all, but several.
This application is sure to create some buzz and interest, and is really motivating me to produce good content for the blog-twitter-youtubes.
Take a look at it, rate it, review it and then let me know what you think!
I have already marked a few posts and tweets as my favorite. Improvements that could be made include:
- integration with flickr,
- adding a search, and
- adding a small picture on the about page.

Kory came up with an exercise to write three words that I want to live by in the New Year of 2010!
- Gratitude
- Intention
- Drive
I chose these words because being in a state of gratitude is so positive and opens up abundance and the law of attraction. Living with intention is to live with dignity, pride, and confidence; living with intention gives me goals and a focus. Drive is my third word because I love being continually creative and motivated when times are great and when times are hard.

I finally did it! I made it onto the Internet Movie Database! Not surprisingly there is only one film that I have worked on, FUBAR 2 (which is on facebook), but, on any expedition there must be a first step. I see this as my first step. This is the start of something special.
My STARmeter indicates that I am up 346% in popularity this week! But to find out why I would have to sign up for IMDb Pro at $12.95 a month. If that is not a confidence booster then I do now know what is.
The next logical step may be for me to add my resume and photos to IMDb, but to do that I would have to sign up for IMDb Resume which costs $7.95 a month, or $54.95 annually. I do not think that those costs could be justified at this point, maybe further along the expedition, around base camp 2, on my approach to the summit.
But not yet, I have not even gotten my boots dirty, or eaten one of those dehydrated meals. I am just starting out, just loading my 35mm with film, opening my eyes to opportunities. But maybe one day. Me on IMDb helps me think that it could happen, one day…

I recently installed Thesis 1.6 by Chris Pearson. It is the epitome of a useful blogging theme. The theme is easily customizable, fast, clean, simple, easily integrable with popular plugins, it also provides a large support network, extremely effective search engine optimization, and a smart development team which I am confident in to continue updating and creating a new standard in blogging platforms.

The upgrade process was not all painless. After attempting to simply upgrade to the Thesis theme I had some minor errors in the Thesis Options page, and some security concerns. I eventually had to backup my database, reinstall WordPress 2.8.6, then install the theme. Which was acutally a good thing in retrospect. [click to continue…]
